Removals from the UK to Europe seem to continue apace. With people seeking the quiet rural lifestyle, often purchasing cheaper run down properties and then spending time bringing these homes back to life.

There seems an increasing desire to relocate to Spain again, a market badly hit by the credit crunch, Whilst these relocations tend to be smaller in size, their frequency is certainly on the increase.

France is still the leading European destination for enquiries from East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire. Volumes of consignments tend to be much larger as are the average  size of homes that people purchase in this country. Access for large removal trucks seem to be a constant issue with many loads needing to be trans shipped using smaller vehicles to allow deliveries to be made.

With moves booked last month for Italy, Holland and Germany it seems 2014 will be a busy year for european moves for Appleyards.
