Ever wanted to free fall from 15,000ft out of a plane at 180mph?  Whilst this might not be on everyone’s bucket list, it certainly was for Danika, Appleyard’s self-storage consultant!

Danika decided to raise funds for a worthwhile cause whilst fuelling her thirst for an adrenalin rush.  That worthy cause was the charity ‘Life for a Kid’, a charity that raise funds to enhance the lives of youngsters.

The sky dive was booked for 21st June 2014, travelling to Hibaldstow Sky Diving Centre (with a convoy of supporters in tow) experiencing a whole range of emotions, but absolutely no doubts whatsoever!!

After a 20 minute induction and health & safety training Danika was kitted up in a very fetching boiler suit, hat and goggles.  Itching to take to the skies, Danika was introduced to her instructor and the fact that the dive was taking place imminently still did not stir any feeling of doubt, just excitement!

The assent took about 15 minutes to reach 15,000ft, clearing the clouds at about 9,000ft.  Then it was time to jump......... as the hatch was opened a sudden sense of realisation of what was about to happen washed over!  Shuffling to the edge of the plane there is not much time to think about anything before the jump, still not hit by nerves or fear but these are maybe not feelings adrenalin junkies’ experience.
