Appleyard's of East Yorkshire has never really had its own true local identity. Being a member of Britannia Movers International has great benefit as the Britannia lady is well recognised nationally; but for some time now there has been a desire to create a more local feel. This mood for change was fueled still further when Hull was awarded the City of Culture in 2017. The  Directors of Appleyard's wanted to have something new and fresh and to introduce it in time for this excellent achievement for the city.

The main design took a life of its own in the end but the original concept was a combination of blue waves representing the shipping side of the business and the green and yellow to reflect the rolling Yorkshire Wolds and fields, made famous of late by Hockney. We think that Jenko Marketing has managed to capture both in this exciting new vehicle livery.

The company plans to put one vehicle into this livery in the next 12 months.

A big thank you to Colin, Graham and Paul at Jenko for their patience and creativity.
