After being part of Britannia Movers International PLC in Hull for over 20 years, at the end of last year the decision was taken to leave this removal group to go it alone. Being part of a large group can be comforting and it certainly was in the early stages of development of the company. As time has gone by however, Appleyard's has established a very broad and loyal local client base which means it no longer needs the support of a parent organisation.

The final ties were severed at the end of December and Appleyard's have now completed their first trading month purely under their own modern brand. In terms of the personnel at Appleyard's nothing has changed at all. Just new uniforms, van livery and building signage. There seems to be more of an affection to buying local these days and that was a major part of the decision to leave Britannia Movers. This is something which seems to really strike a chord with Hull people.

Whilst Appleyard's will still have a working relationship with many of the Britannia depots around the company they are now in a process of building new business friendships with other companies as well to broaden their horizons still further. These includes other organisations such as John Masons, Doree Bonner, Anglo Pacfic, Excess International, Cadogan Tate, Robinson and Humphreys.

The message that Appleyard's would like to convey is that if you have previously moved with Britannia Appleyards of Hull then you should feel rest assured that Appleyards of Hull will still be able to provide great levels of service, so please feel free to continue to use and recommend us.
