Trying to remove common issues that customers repeatedly come across is something that Appleyard's try to do on a regular basis. Moving house is a stressful time and when you are moving everything that you own this can equate to literally hundreds of items. Trying to find specific small items either during or immediately after delivery can be stressful and frustrating.

To try and alleviate this Appleyard's recommend that you use an "ODDS BOX" on your removal.

This is just a small box that you keep to one side to put in all the useful things that can easily be misplaced. Things that we would encourage to go in here would be small electrical devices, keys, charging cables, landline phones, castors off sofas, any remotes that you may have for TV;s, music or heating systems.

During the move it is likely that you will also need to take apart some pieces of furniture such as beds, wardrobes etc. As you take apart each item put the screws and fixings into an individual bag and mark it up for that item. Put the bag into the odds box and also put with it the tools you have used to take the item apart. Repeat this for everything you split down so that when you arrive at the delivery address putting things together is a simpler process.

It wouldnt harm to maybe put some tea bags and coffee in to help smooth the delivery process with your removal men !
