Channel Islands

Appleyards have been removing people from E Yorkshire both to and from the Channel Islands for many years. Although there are several islands the main removal movement tends to be from Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey And Sark.

Due to the restrictive natter of the roads on the islands it is normal to send household furniture and effects over by 20ft shipping container. Appleyard's have close ties with a company that has been operating removals to The Channel Islands for many years and they can arrange a full door to door service. 

Removals To Jersey

Jersey is by far the most popular destination to which goods are sent to on The Channel Islands. For a normal sized home we would load this into a 20ft shipping container outside your house. This would then be shipped to our agents in St Helier. Because of the poor access to most properties it is unlikely that the container will be unloaded and the goods brought to you in a smaller vehicle or vehicles.

Removals To Guernsey

All consignments for Guernsey are sent through St Peter Port. Due to the restrictive nature of many roads and access to properties it it more common than not for the goods to be unloaded at the port and delivered in smaller vehicles.
