Are you already thinking about Moving to Spain?
Moving to Spain
Being one of the most popular European areas to move to over recent years, Spain is still a popular destination to move to from East Yorkshire. Whether it is for a holiday home for a relaxed way of life, retirement in sunnier climes, or for a new job, Appleyards of Hull can help with all aspects of a move of household goods to Spain. The most regular journeys are to the Costas – Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol proving to be popular destinations, though if you are moving to Spanish cities such as Barcelona and Madrid or the Spanish islands, Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza can also be covered.
Moving To Spain With Appleyards
Appleyards of Hull are set up with professional European removal staff, up to date and fully equipped vehicles. All level of packing services can be provided from a full professional pack to supplying the materials for you to carry out your own packing. Moves can be done to and from Spain and would be carried out usually on a removal vehicle by road, but both air and sea containers can be used too depending on the delivery area.
Transit Times For Spain
The transit time on a move to Spain is dependent on the area that you are moving to, and what method of transport will be used for moving your goods. A regular service to most of the popular areas in Spain for moving is provided though and timings will also depend on whether you are moving items as a part load. For the best pricing, these ‘shared’ loads are often offering the most competitive costs, but flexibility on delivery dates is the key for cost effective moves.
Restricted Items For Spain
We would generally recommend that it would not be advisable to send any of the following in your consignment to Spain – guns, ammunition and firearms; anything perishable such as fresh food; anything inflammable; plants and plant materials; offensive material; alcohol; dangerous goods; narcotics
Top Tip When Moving To Spain
Be aware of the access and parking to your new property in Spain and discuss this with your chosen remover. The delivery vehicle may be a large removal van and it is worth being certain that the vehicle can park outside of the property with no issues to them or your new neighbours. Advise your removal company what kind of property you are moving to – a house? an apartment? what floor? is there a lift that can be used? All of these things can affect the delivery on the day and by giving your remover as much information as possible can make the delivery to your new address as smooth as possible. Appleyards work very closely with Movers International who have contacts in Spain that can help with solving any access issues.
