Andy has experienced over 35 years in the removal industry and it is over 25 years since he formed Appleyards of Hull.

Role At Appleyards

In addition to overseeing the day to day running of the company Andys roles include

• Major account support
• Backing up on UK domestic removal sales 
• Expanding Self Storage revenues 
• Managing the companies marketing
• Staff training and development
• Developing the future strategy for the company

Hobbies & Interests

From a very young age Andy was taken into the mountains in both Scotland and The Lake District and this created a passion for the outdoors that has never left him. In recent years Mountaineering has given way to rock climbing in the summer and ice climbing in the winter.

A "mid life" challenge came along in the form of attempting to complete the then five World Major Marathons and he has now completed the New York, London, Berlin, Chicago and Boston marathons. With Tokyo now added to the list Andy completed this in March 2023 which also brought with it the Abbots World Majors Medal

Andy also loves travel and spending time with his 3 children.
