2019 and has certainly been a turbulent year for anyone thinking of moving into Europe. The early March deadline for Brexit came and passed and we are now facing another one at the end of this month. Motorway signs are advising HGV drivers that new rules "may come into effect" and hauliers are receiving information about what the documentation they "may need" should the "no deal" be enforced. But when you drill down into the details they are far from complete or clear.

As a leading local European removal company we are still very much in the dark as to what documentation any of our customers will need to allow their effects to move duty free into any EU country on November 1st and this means that (for the second time this year) we are having to halt bookings for moves in the first two weeks of November until the muddy waters settle and become clear again.

Having over thirty years experience of moving people too and from Europe we are very aware of what it is like to have customs borders in place and should they return we will position ourselves to guide potential clients as to what documentation they will need.
