In respect of your home contents there are some things that they just always do as part of their normal service. All mattresses are covered with a mattress bag prior to being removed from the home. Similarly where nice or expensive sofas are involved, wherever possible these are covered in padded sofa covers to protect them from getting caught or marked.
At the entrance to your home it is normal to put down a drugget to allow any excess dirt from outside to be caught before heading into the home. There is also an option to put sticky mat down to protect carpets on the stairs and on the main carpeted walkways into rooms.
It is standard practice to protect all other main furniture items with a woollen removal blanket prior to placing them within the removal van or storage container
